Yesterday, Borys Kit from The Hollywood Reporter reported that Rooney Mara ("The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo"), Felicity Jones ("The Amazing Spider-Man 2") and Tatiana Maslany ("Orphan Black") were all competing for the female lead in Gareth Edwards' Star Wars standalone film, and today we have new name to add to the list.

Justin Kroll from Variety, has heard that Rooney's sister Kate Mara is also testing for the role. Kate is best known for her role in Netflix's House Of Cards, but we'll next see her as Sue Storm, aka The Invisible Woman, in Josh Trank's Fantastic Four movie.

Gareth Edwards' Star Wars standalone will be the first of many and it will land in theaters Dec. 16, 2016. The first draft was written by Gary Whitta, but he recently departed the project and they are still looking for his replacement to finish it. Past rumors suggest that the film will be about Boba Fett and/or a young Han Solo. Though, nothing has been announced officially.
