Sophie Turner made an appearance at the Entertainment Weekly pre-SAG Awards party at the Chateau Marmont on Saturday night. While she was there she chatted about the upcoming season of HBO's fantasy series Game Of Thrones and the moment she found out she won the role of Jean Grey in Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse.

Turner said that she was on her way to an audition when her agent gave her an urgent call. "She was like, 'Check your Twitter!' So then, I checked it and… I was just getting like, 'Congratulations Jean Grey,'" Sophie told Access Hollywood. "Then I just started crying and I messed up the whole audition because I was just like, 'I can't speak!'"

Sophie knows she has some big shoes to fill. Famke Janssen ("Taken") portrayed Jean Grey in the X-Men franchise. Her last appearance was a small cameo at the end of X-Men: Days Of Future Past. "She did such a great job and I just hope I do justice to this incredible character," Sophie added.

As for Game Of Thrones, Turner says her character Sansa Stark has an "amazing storyline" in the new season that will have "a lot of hard stuff hitting home." She described the sixth season as "bigger, better, more blood, more deaths." Nice!

HBO's Game Of Thrones returns with all new episodes April 12, 2015, and 20th Century Fox's X-Men: Apocalypse will arrive in theaters May 27, 2016.
