While it's still unknown exactly where Rick and his group are headed in the second half of Season 5, Norman Reedus and Lauren Cohan have offered a little bit of insight into what's ahead for their characters, and it isn't pleasant.

Spoiler Warning: In the midseason finale, Daryl watched as Beth was killed right in front of him. Considering Daryl had bonded with Beth when the two wound up together after the Governor attacked the prison, many fans have been wondering how her death would impact Daryl.

In an interview with the print edition of Entertainment Weekly, Norman Reedus talked about life after the incident at the hospital, "It's one of the darkest times we've ever had as a group. Everyone is on the verge of giving up."

In regards to Daryl, Reedus added, "He goes into a depression, and he'll slowly seep back into a dark place, which sucks."

However, Reedus won't be the only one struggling to come to terms with Beth's death. In regards to Maggie, Lauren Cohan revealed, "You see her really without any hope, and you see her at a place where she is actually ready to give up."

Spoiler Warning: In the comics, Maggie's depression over losing her family led to her trying to commit suicide by hanging herself. Cohan's comments certainly hint that Maggie could be heading in a similar direction on TV. However, key events in the comics often happen to different characters on TV, so it's also possible that Maggie's storyline from the comics could happen to Daryl on TV.
