Happy Birthday! Michael B. Jordan Turns 28 Today

Today is actor Michael B. Jordan's birthday.

A movie star currently on the rise, Jordan first caught critic's and audience's attention for his role as Vince Howard on Friday Night Lights. He then made a successful leap into films with the George Lucas-developed Red Tails, and Chronicle, the found-footage film about teens who inherit superpowers by Fantastic Four director Josh Trank.

The collaboration between Trank and Jordan must have gone well, as Jordan will be the next live-action version of Johnny Storm, the Human Torch, in Trank's Fantastic Four reboot. The film, which hits theaters this summer, already has a sequel slated for 2017. His other comic book credit includes the voice of Cyborg in the DC Universe animated film, The Flashpoint Paradox.

Jordan is also highly regarded for his headlining role in Fruitvale Station.

Michael B. Jordan was born on February 9, 1987 in Santa Ana, California, and he turns 28 years old today.
