Tonight's episode of Arrow is going full-on Hunger Games. And Battle Royale. And Lord of Flies.

That's because Oliver and Thea Queen find themselves stuck on the island Lian Yu with none-other than an escaped Slade "Deathstroke" Wilson in a battle to the death. As Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim revealed in a new preview video today, Thea and Oliver's training day on Lian Yu will get a deadly twist when Malcolm Merlyn releases Slade to draw out the Queens' killer instincts. And what better way to do that than through some competitive killing through a booby-trapped island?

"I think of The Return as a love letter, and a little bit of a late Christmas gift to the fans who appreciate all the little moments we fold into the episodes," Guggenheim said in the video.
