Now that everyone is excited to see the new Spider-Man make his first appearance in the Marvel cinematic universe with a cameo in Captain America: Civil War, we think it is a good time to look back the first time Cap and Spidey appeared together in a live-action film.

What?! You mean you didn't know Captain American and Spider-Man were in a 1973 live-action film? And you call yourself a comic book fan. Shame on you. We're talking about 3 Giant Men (AKA: Captain America and Santo vs. Spider-Man), of course. This Turkish cult classic featured Spidey as a villain. Yeah, a villain. He controls a criminal organization that has bundles of counterfeit U.S. dollars. Thank goodness Captain America, Mexican superhero/wrestler El Santo (The Saint) and Cap's girlfriend Julia team up to stop the evil Webhead and his gang.

Watch fifteen-minutes from 3 Giant Men (AKA: Captain America and Santo vs. Spider-Man) in the video below.

The new Spider-Man is expected to make a cameo in 2016's Captain America: Civil War and will star in his own solo franchise in 2017.
