Joel Kinnaman Confirms He's Rick Flag In David Ayer's Suicide Squad

RoboCop star Joel Kinnaman has confirmed to the French entertainment website Allocine that he will play Rick Flag, leader of the villains-turned-heroes team, in David Ayer's Suicide Squad movie.

"All I can say is that I will be in the movie, and it's going to be amazing," Kinnaman told Allocine.

Kinnaman was first link to the role last month by Latino-Review. He is replacing Tom Hardy, who was cast as Flag, but walked away. Rumor has it that Hardy departed the project because the script focused more so on The Joker (Jared Leto) and Deadshot (Will Smith).
