At the Lexington Comic and Toy Convention, The Crow creator James O'Barr revealed that Boardwalk Empire actor Jack Huston will be playing Eric Draven, but he also revealed that Downton Abbey star Jessica Brown Findlay will be playing Eric's doomed fiancé Shelly Webster.
Relativity Studios' remake of The Crow will be directed byCorin Hardy ("The Hallow"). The original 1994 film was directed by Alex Proyas and starred the late Brandon Lee as the revenge-obsessed Eric Draven and Sofia Shinas played Shelly, who was raped and murdered.
Listen to James O'Barr reveal the news in the video below. He also explains how the new film will be closer to the source material than the 1994 film. The movie will film in Belgium and the director will use practical effects more so than computer-generated effects.
