The Legend Of Zelda Tribute Music Video Released By Video Games Live Composers

The Legend of Zelda franchise is one of the most iconic and popular in all of gaming history. The game pioneered the idea of "open world" gameplay long before Grand Theft Auto or Skyrim were even conceived of, and has remained a mainstay of Nintendo's formidable first party lineup from one console generation to the next.

One of The Legend of Zelda's most memorable features is its timeless scores, composed primarily by Koji Kondo since the series began in 1986. Jillian and Andrew Aversa, two of the composers behind the touring video game music show Video Games Live, have produced a music video tribute to two of Zelda and Kondo's classic pieces.

The video sees the Aversas in full costume as protagonists Zelda and Link, performing a vocal rearrangement of two classic Zelda pieces. The first is "Zelda's Lullaby," from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, one of the most popular games in the series. The second is "Ballad of the Goddess," from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, which is actually "Zelda's Lullaby" in reverse. The music video combines both songs to beautiful effect.

This Zelda arrangement is being performed live as part of the ongoing Video Games Live tour, and can also be found on the tour's latest recorded album, Video Games Live: Level 4.
