Jeremy Irons attended the Lucca Film Festival and while he was there he was of course asked about Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice.

Irons is laying Bruce Wayne's loyal butler Alfred Pennyworth in Warner Bros. big-budget comic book movie and this time last year he said the Batman v Superman script was not complete. Now that filming is done with he can now share his thoughts on the complete script. "The next Batman has an amazing screenplay," Irons gushed to reports, via La Nazione. "It's a blockbuster written from the heart."

Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice leaps into theaters March 25th, 2016. The cast includes: Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenbeg as Lex Luthor and Jason Momoa as Aquaman.

  1. I have absolute faith in DC, Zack Snyder, and this movie but an actor who is in the movie saying that it's good is hardly surprising. Is he supposed to go around saying "Meh, I've seen better." or "Yeah, the script totally sucks."

  2. No we can leave that to anyone who works for marvel. Like Patton Oswalt.

  3. He could also say nothing, which would also be very telling.

Exactly. There were a lot of things he could have said to be complimentary but he clearly thinks the script really is something special. I cannot wait for this movie.

How does this pass for news?

I mean, seriously an actor in a movie thinks the movie he's in is amazing, that isn't news.

News would be an announcement about a trailer for the movie being released soon, not this.
