The Dark Knight Rises' Ben Mendelsohn Eyed For Star Wars: Rogue One

Australian actor Ben Mendelsohn is being eyed for the lead role in Gareth Edwards' Star Wars: Rogue One, according to Deadline.

Mendelsohn has earned rave reviews for his performance in Netflix's Bloodline, but he also carved out some meaty roles in The Dark Knight Rises, Exodus: Gods And Kings and Killing Them Softly.

As of right now, the only Star Wars: Rogue One cast member is Felicity Jones ("The Amazing Spider-Man 2").

Star Wars: Rogue One will arrive in theaters December 16, 2016.
