Kevin Smith keeps tracking down old Mallrats cast members and signing them up for the sequel. He just announced on Facebook that Joey Lauren Adams and Renee Humphrey are going back to the mall!
In the 1995 cult classic, Humphrey played Trish "The Dish" Jones. She was a 15-year-old prodigy writing a book on the male sex drive. To do her research she slept with males in their teens and up to the age of 30. The character also appeared in Smith's 2001 film Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.
Adams on the other hand is best known to Kevin Smith fans as Alyssa Jones in Smith's 1997 film Chasing Amy, but she was first introduced to the Askewniverse as Gwen Turner in Mallrats. Turner was a former girlfriend of T.S. Quint who understood his value, and helps win him back his true love, Brandi.
