WonderCon, arguably the second-largest comics convention in the Sunshine State, is migrating from Anaheim to Los Angeles, California for its 2016 installment.

According to reports, the relocation is thought to be short-term fix as WonderCon finds a more suitable location for their long-term needs. After operating in Anaheim for the past four years, WonderCon has seemingly grown too large for the city's convention center and parking capacity. As WonderCon's attendance and offerings expand, Los Angeles may not even fit the convention's expected growth over the next few years.

Originally starting in Oakland in 1987, WonderCon has been an increasingly popular convention amongst comic and pop culture enthusiasts. The show moved to Anaheim in 2011, and attracted more than 60,000 attendees in 2014.

"Los Angeles is honored to have been selected as the destination for WonderCon 2016. We look forward to establishing a long-term partnership with Comic-Con International, the presenter, and helping them establish a home-base in L.A." Los Angeles Mayoe Eric Garcetti told Variety. "We anticipate the show to be highly attended and to set the precedent for future successful Comic-Con events in L.A."

The 2016 WonderCon is scheduled for March 25-27—which could create scheduling conflicts for some fans, as Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters the very same weekend.
