Adam Beach To Reportedly Play Slipknot In Suicide Squad

Several days ago, director David Ayer tweeted out a photo of his Suicide Squad cast from a table read. It included several new faces. One of them was Adam Beach, who is best known for his roles in Joe Dirt, Windtalkers and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. 

It's great that Beach is part of the cast, but who is he playing in the upcoming DC Comics adaptation? Looks like the mystery may have been solved. A source for the Winnipeg Free Press claims that Beach will be playing Slipknot.

Slipknot began as a Firestorm villain, who is a master of ropes and is a trained assassin. He joined the Suicide Squad and is best known for getting his arm blown off. See, Amanda Waller installed bombs into the arms of team members she didn't trust and one of them was Slipknot. When Captain Boomerang convinced Slipknot that the bomb is probably fake, Slipknot makes a run for it during a mission. The bomb is triggered when Slipknot goes past an allowable range. Boom goes his right arm. Say goodbye to tying knots and nooses.

Suicide Squad is due in theaters August 5, 2016.
