Henry Cavill: Batman v Superman Is NOT A Man Of Steel Sequel

In a recent interview, Henry Cavill has clarified that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is NOT a Man of Steel sequel. Seems plain as day, but many people have been clinging to the belief Batman v Superman is a sequel to Man of Steel.

MTV's Josh Horowitz referred to it as a Superman sequel and Cavill quickly corrected him. "I wouldn't call this a Superman sequel," Cavill told Horowitz at CinemaCon 2015. "This is Batman v Superman, so it is a separate entity all together. It's introducing the Batman (Ben Affleck) character and expanding upon the universe. Which was kicked off by Man of Steel.

Cavill thinks the film could experience some changes when it is edited in post but as of right now it is "definitely an introduction of the character (Batman), and ultimately the introduction of Justice League."
