Star Trek Beyond Is Rumored Title For Star Trek 3

Star Trek 3 has experienced a lot of bumps on its journey so far, but it seems as though it finally has a title.

According to Trek Movie, the next installment in the Star Trek film franchise will be title, "Star Trek Beyond." Love it? Well you better because the title has already "been registered with the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), a step that typically signifies a title has been settled on for an upcoming movie."

"Beyond," does seem like a fitting title as Pegg has stressed that the new film will right some wrongs of the previous two films by having Star Trek do some treking again, venturing off into deep space. "I mean, this is the five-year mission now, we're out there," Pegg told MTV. "We don't always have to keep bumping into the same people… So we're gonna try and reflect that in the movie.

The film is being directed by Justin Lin, based on a script being written by Simon Pegg and Doug Jung.

Star Trek 3 is expected to hit theaters on July 8, 2016.
