Fret not, Daryl Dixon fans. Norman Reedus has made it clear that he's not leaving The Walking Dead's sweltering south anytime soon.

After it was recently rumored that Reedus was selling his Georgia house-which is relatively close to The Walking Dead's south-eastern filming locations—many saw it as a sign that Reedus and his alter ego were departing the AMC show. Naturally, fans assumed the worst and thought that Dixon would be killed off early in the upcoming sixth season of The Walking Dead.

But, according to Reedus himself, the reported house for sale is not even his.

"That's not even my house," Reedus informed The Wrap. "It's a rumor."

While that doesn't mean Dixon couldn't eventually face the Grim Reaper, the update suggests that the fan-favorite character isn't leaving the show anytime soon.

The Walking Dead returns this fall on AMC.
