Deadpool may seem like it just started, but it's already halfway through production, according to star Ryan Reynolds.

While the average superhero epic tends to take much longer than that, some smaller movies like Kick-Ass and Sin City have had similarly-short production windows.

You can see his tweet on the matter below.

Based upon Marvel Comics' most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Directed by Tim Miller, the film stars Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein and Gina Carano. It will be in U.S. theaters February 12, 2016.
