Everyone knows that Avengers: Age of Ultron's opening weekend is going to be massive. The only question now, is just how big?

Some industry analysts are projecting the Avengers sequel to rake in around $230 million domestically for its opening weekend. That number would shatter the record held by Age of Ultron's prequel, The Avengers, which has the highest U.S. opening weekend ever of $207.4 million.

With Age of Ultron's advance ticket sales already eclipsing The Avengers', the sequel shouldn't have a difficult time outperforming its predecessor's opening haul. As of now, Age of Ultron will open across 4,247 U.S. theaters, 2,761 of which are 3D-enabled (read: More money).

The strong U.S. forecast follows Age of Ultron's impressive foreign debut last week. After opening across 44 different countries, Age of Ultron's global haul stands above the $200 million mark. And with mostly-positive reviews to back the opening numbers up, some are predicting that Age of Ultron will pull a global box office total of more than $2 billion.
