Reportedly, Marvel has zeroed in on a pair of 18-year-old English actors, Asa Butterfield and Tom Holland, to be the next Spider-Man/Peter Parker.
We've previously heard that Asa was the frontrunner, but it appears that Holland is now nipping at his heels, according to Devin Faraci.
The final two contenders for Spider-Man are Asa Butterfield and Tom Holland, I am hearing. It was down to 2 last week.

Holland is best known for his roles in 2012 feature film The Impossible and BBC's 2015 television series Wolf Hall. He has a major role in Ron Howard's upcoming film In the Heart of the Sea, alongside Chris Hemsworth (Thor).
Butterfield blossomed early with roles in 2008's The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, Martin Scorsese's 2011 film Hugo, and 2013's Ender's Game.
The new Spider-Man will appear in his own film, July 28, 2017.
