Power Rangers Movie Reportedly Looking To Cast Unknowns

The new Power Rangers movie could certainly attract some serious Hollywood talent, but a new rumor claims that the film will utilize a cast of unknowns.

El Mayimbe of Heroic Hollywood has been informed by his sources that the Power Rangers themselves will all be "unknown actors" because "the studio wants them all to play late teens."

Having fresh faces that the audience doesn't associate with any other significant roles can be a huge positive. The biggest drawback is that unknown actors have never been tested in front of the camera on a high-profile project before. Sometimes newcomers rise when the spotlight is place upon them, while others melt. Hopefully, director Dean Israelite has keen eye for talent.

Power Rangers is scheduled for release on January 13, 2017.
