E3 is in full force and the game announcements keep on coming. Earlier today, Telltale Games announced on YouTube a new game starring Michonne, the katana wielding woman who has become an integral part of Rick Grimes's band of survivors, titled The Walking Dead: Michonne.

The Walking Dead comic readers know Michonne went missing when the series flashed forward two years following the All Out War storyline where Rick faced off with Negan and his group of crazies. Telltale Games explained The Walking Dead: Michonne "explores her untold journey during the time between issues #126 and #139." Therefore, the three episode series will pick up after Michonne was injured in battle and thought possibly dead by readers.

The Walking Dead writer and creator, Robert Kirkman, said "In many ways, Michonne herself is a reflection of the world of The Walking Dead. She is brutal and cold on the outside, but deep beneath what is broken, she remains hopeful, trying to claw her way out of the darkness that surrounds her. In our effort to bring the world of the comic and the world of the Telltale series closer together, there is no greater character than Michonne to help bridge that gap."

The Walking Dead: Michonne will be available this fall on PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, Xbox One PC, iOS, and Android this fall, and players are required to own at least the first episodes of The Walking Dead: Season Two.
