A member of the Super Hero Hype message board claims that he snuck onto the Atlanta set of Marvel's Captain America: Civil War and may have seen Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) wielding Thor's enchanted hammer.

This past week, Civil War has been filming scenes at the Atlantic Civic Center. It has been decorated to look like the "Institute for Infectious Disease." There, the SHH member claims he saw Captain America, Scarlet Witch (civilian attire), and "a bunch of knocked out soldiers on the ground." The scene concluded with Captain American leaping "onto the roof of the Civic Center (a good 30-foot leap)."

What makes it interesting is that he also witnessed "Captain America waving around a CGI stand-in prop that was shaped like a double sided hammer." Sounds like Thor's meow-meow. Cap couldn't lift Thor's hammer in Avengers: Age of Ultron, but he may have become worthy in the interim.

You'd be surprised at how many characters in the Marvel universe have had the privilege of wielding Mjolnir. To meet the criteria you have to be pure of heart, noble of mind and an android born yesterday. In the comics, Captain America picked up Mjolnir in The Mighty Thor #390 (1988) and used its immense power to defeat the Egyptian God of Death and his loyal followers.

If Cap is in possession of Thor's hammer that opens up a lot of questions. How did he get it? Will Thor (Chris Hemsworth) appear in Civil War? How did Cap become worthy?

Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

Captain America: Civil War opens in theaters May 6, 2016.
