True Blood & Arrow Actor Kevin Alejandro Cast In Lucifer

Kevin Alejandro is joining the cast of Fox's comic book adaptation Lucifer, according to Deadline.

Alejandro will be a series regular, playing the role of an LAPD homicide detective that isn't excited to be solving crimes with Lucifer. Geez, what's his problem?! He'll be replacing Nicholas Gonzalez (Law and Order: SVU), who played the role in the pilot.

Alejandro is best known for playing Jesús Velásquez in HBO's sexy-supernatural show True Blood, and as Sebastian Blood/Brother Blood in The CW's comic book television series Arrow.

Charming, charismatic and devilishly handsome, Lucifer is enjoying his retirement, indulging in a few of his favorite things – wine, women and song – when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of Lux. For the first time in roughly 10 billion years, he feels something awaken deep within him as a result of this murder. Compassion? Sympathy? The very thought disturbs him.

Lucifer will premiere on Fox in 2016.
