The producers and writers on The CW's hit Arrow are hoping to change the game a bit in the show's upcoming fourth season, according to series star Stephen Amell.

"It still feels like our show but there are different elements that I think people are going to enjoy," Amell told The TV Junkies. "We get to see some characters interact that weren't always the closest of friends or interacting on a regular basis which is neat when you're doing new stuff in the fourth season of a show."

The actor was cautiously optimistic about the chances for Oliver and Felicity's relationship, saying that they will have been away for the five months between seasons together, and are still away when the premiere begins.

Asked about the couple's prospects to remain together and happy, Amell said, "I think if anyone has a decent chance it's Oliver and Felicity. Time will tell."

Arrow returns on Wednesday, October 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
