The Walking Dead Season 6 Will Premiere On October 11

The next season of AMC's The Walking Dead will debut on Sunday, October 11, 2015, according to an AMC promo.

The Walking Dead is the #1 show in all of television among adults 18-49. The show's fifth season delivered an average of 14.4 million viewers and 9.4 million adults 18-49 live/same day across its 16 episodes, an increase of 9% season over season in adults 18-49.

With fans eagerly anticipating a new season, The Walking Dead will likely continue to see its ratings rise during Season 6. AMC is currently holding a number of Comic Con activities for both The Walking Dead and its anticipated spinoff, Fear The Walking Dead, which will debut in August.

Update: During The Walking Dead Comic Con panel, Chris Hardwick also revealed that the Season 6 premiere will be a 90 minute episode.
