Batman V Superman: Scoot McNairy as Jimmy Olsen Rumors Resurface

Will Scoot McNairy play Jimmy Olsen, Superman's longtime pal and The Daily Planet photographer?

All signs point to yes, according to Heroic Hollywood, who say they've got new sources resurrecting the year-old casting rumor.

They elaborate somewhat on the existing rumor, saying that Olsen was injured during the Black Zero attack on Metropolis, leaving him in a wheelchair, hence the green-screen socks McNairy was spotted wearing on set.

Many fans suspected that McNairy might be The Flash, since Ezra Miller's casting hadn't yet been announced and the special effects on the legs were theorized to be for some kind of special effect.

Heroic Hollywood also notes that McNairy apparently appears in the Senate Chamber when Superman goes to testify in the most recent movie trailers.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice comes to theaters March 25.
