This year at Otakon, a Japanese anime and culture convention held in Baltimore, Maryland, a group of cosplayers made and wore Pokémon/Power Rangers mashup costumes. And they are spectacular!
Their characters include: Mega Garchomp, Mega Scizor, Mega Charizard X, Mega Rayquaza and Magikarp.
Reddit user eikyuu is one of the members of this cosplay group and he answered some questions, like the construction the helmets. "By using Made the basic shape of the helmet out of cardboard and then covered it with Bondo auto body filler," he wrote. "Sanded and painted them shiny to try to get that Power Ranger look. The final step was to tint a cut out 2 liter soda bottle to use as the visor."
