Looks like Benicio Del Toro is adding another great role to his collection.

Del Toro, who played Tanileer Tivan, The Collector, in Guardians of the Galaxy, has been rumored for the villian role in Star Wars: Episode VIII for some time now, but he now says, ""I can't tell you much about it but I think that it might happen. It looks like it's gonna happen so I'm very excited."

Talking to ET, Del Toro couldn't offer many details, saying, "I can't talk too much about it. The script is hard to get. They told me they'd cut my finger if I talk about it." No one wants to see Del Toro lose a finger. He'll need them if he's going to be wielding a light saber.

Although he couldn't share many details about the film, Del Toro did share details about himself, revealing his fandom for the Star Wars franchise. "I saw the original one when it came out and it marked me," he told ET. "I was impressed by the film and by the characters and by the story and the message."

Don't question Del Toro's ability to be evil. The actor knocked villainy out of the park in 2012's Savages, as Lado, the Mexican drug lord.

Would you like to see Benicio Del Toro land the villainous role for Star Wars: Episode VIII? We may find out this weekend, with Disney's D23 Expo taking place in Anaheim.
