Scott Snyder On the Possibility of a Stand-Alone Joker Original Graphic Novel

Not long ago, best-selling Batman writer Scott Snyder mentioned on Twitter that he had an idea for a Joker story.

Of course, he's already on record as saying that it's likely he and artist Greg Capullo have had their say as it pertains to The Joker, and that there won't be another big Joker tale told during their Batman run.

That, however, isn't what Snyder had in mind:

Had an idea for another Joker story recently - something really dark though, for out of continuity, like a gn. Hopeful. We'll see!

I always think I'm done with Joker, but he still scares me, and I get ideas. This'd be a different take though, something simple.

How close is such a project to reality, though?

"No, I'm definitely trying to develop it," Snyder said. "I always think of it with [an artist] in mind, so I already have somebody in time for it. For me, it's just about making it happen. It's going to be a lot of fun."
