Ben McKenzie Confirms When Batman Will Appear on Gotham

During the Gotham panel today at Wizard World Chicago, series star Ben McKenzie gave a pretty definitive answer as to when fans might see Batman on the show.

At the very end.

According to McKenzie, that's what the series is building to: "In the very last frame of the very last scene of the very last episode of the very last season of Gotham, whenever that turns out to be, that's when we'll see Bruce Wayne put on the cape and cowl," McKenzie said.

Gotham starts back up on Monday, September 21, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX. It will bring back a number of characters from the first season, but add new faces both familiar to comics readers and not.

The show's first season arrives on Blu-ray and DVD on September 8.

Lol, we all knew it be right at the end from the very start and yeah just like Smallville. Though its got to make 10+ years on the air for young Bruce to grow up yo =p

  1. It seems people don't understand Gotham. It's about GOTHAM and the origins of GOTHAM, the baddies, the goodies, The Batman. It's not a Batman show, it's a universe building Origin to GOTHAM.

  2. I am personally bored with the whole Batman stuff. So I don't care when he appears

  3. The story is about Jim Gordon and the city he loves (Gotham). Right now, he is "The man the city deserrvess.
