20th Century Fox has offered the female lead in their upcoming Marvel supehero film Gambit to Lea Seydoux; opposite Channing Tatum (Magic Mike), according to Deadline.

The 30-year-old French actress has earned acclaim for her work in Blue is the Warmest Color, Midnight in Paris and The Grand Budapest Hotel. Her next high-profile role is in the upcoming James Bond film, Spectre.

Seydoux will play BelladonnaBoudreaux. In the comics, Bella Donna and Gambit (aka Remy LeBeau) were childhood friends, even though their families came from rival Guilds, Assassins and Thieves, respectively. As they got older a marriage was arranged between the two in hopes of uniting the Guilds. Things go sour when Bella's brother challenges Gambit to a fight to the death. Once Remy won, he got booted from New Orleans and left without Bella Donna.

Gambit is scheduled for released on October 7, 2016.
