If you've added Hunger Games: Catching Fire, World War Z and/or Transformers: Age of Extinction
to your Netflix queue you may want to watch them sooner rather than later. Why? Because Netflix has announced today that they are allowing their distribution agreement with the cable network Epix to expire and that means some major Hollywood movies will no longer be available to U.S. customers at the end of next month.

Netflix's Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos wrote on the company's blog:

Meanwhile, we have decided not to renew our agreement in the US with Epix, the cable network, which means that some high profile movies including Hunger Games: Catching Fire, World War Z and Transformers: Age of Extinction, will expire at the end of September in the US. If you want to see them on Netflix US, now is the time.

Netflix plans to offset these losses with a slate of original films featuring Hollywood talent, like Brad Pitt, Ricky Gervais, Judd Apatow, Angelina Jolie, Sofia Coppola and Adam Sandler. Also, Netflix is working on "some innovative licensing arrangements with the movie studios" that allow those films to "arrive faster than traditional arrangements."
