The Star Wars saga will continue a day or two early for European audiences.
French film website Allocine revealed that Star Wars: The Force Awakens will open in French theaters on Dec. 16, while a new video on the Star Wars Facebook page revealed a Dec. 17 release date for audiences in the United Kingdom.

Early releases in Europe aren't all that unusual, and have become expected of Disney distributed Marvel Studios films. The second trailer for The Force Awakens only said that the film was coming "This Christmas," perhaps speaking to the global audience and hoping to avoid future confusion. It releases December 18, 2015 in U.S. (domestic market) theaters.
