Iron Man may have joined the Guardians of the Galaxy in the comics, but it's not going to happen in the movies. Director James Gunn confirmed on Facebook that Tony Stark will not have so much as a cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
Of course, he's already more or less confirmed that there will be no Avengers in the Guardians sequel when he said he wants to keep Peter Quill the only Earthling around back when he was asked about the Hulk appearing in the film.
