Are you worried that you'll have to explain to the children in your life why Batman and Superman are fighting each other instead of bad guys, and Captain America and Iron Man are fighting each other instead of bad guys, next year?

Scholastic Books will help you with that: they've apparently landed the deal to publish the Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice companion novel, according to writer Michael Kogge, who said on his blog that he will write it.

(We're sure one will be forthcoming for Civil War, too. Don't worry.)

No release information is yet available.

Junior novelizations and kid-targeted companion books can sometimes provide early insights into the plot of a film, but after a number of twists were blown on big-budget movies that way it's equally common for the stories to end halfway through the movie, to have a different ending or to tell a different story altogether.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is due in theaters on March 25.
