Listen to Scarlett Johansson Read Sexy Bible Verses

When you leave Saturday Night Live, you might write a book, or work on a movie, or start a TV empire. Or, you might get Scarlett Johansson to read Book of Deuteronomy verses in a sexy voice. Because that's a thing you do if you're Mike O'Brien, who has a new comedy album out now called Tasty Radio.

On this track, called "Sexy Bible," it's coming from WSEX Sexy Talk Radio - each track is from a different radio station - you can hear Johansson reading passages about stoning rebellious youngsters, shaving the head of a woman, and what animals you're allowed to eat.

Okay, okay, yes, Scarlett Johansson can make just about anything sound sexy. We get it, O'Brien. Also, the Old Testament books of Deuteronomy and Leviticus are really pretty hilarious, full of laws and rules that don't make a lot of sense in the modern world. That was the appeal to the comedian, as he told Rolling Stone, "The Old Testament is filled with beautiful stuff, but also some weirdly specific, random rules and speeches. Deuteronomy could be called 'Laws for Stuff That Will Never Apply to 99% of Civilization,' like what to do with a dead animal you find [or] what to do to a woman who grabs the junk of a guy who her husband is fighting. [It's] a very funny time capsule of what those guys were worried about back then."

There's a second Sexy Bible track on there, too, where you can hear her say "boils" and "excrement." You're welcome, world.
