The Force is strong with Daniel Fleetwood.

Daniel's wife Ashley has just relayed the good news that Disney provided her husband with a special screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens well before its December release. He even received a phone call from the film's director J.J. Abrams! For those of you that don't know, Daniel was diagnosed with cancer and informed that he may not live long enough to see the new Star Wars. Since the franchise has meant so much to him, in good times and bad, he made a plea to Disney to let him see the film early. Well, the Magic Kingdom and Mr. Abrams didn't disappoint.

"To all our wonderful supporters, friends, family and awesome strangers: Daniels final dream was just granted!!!" his wife Ashley wrote on Facebook. "Today the wonderful Disney and Lucasfilms made his final dream come true, in the amazing typical Disney way, they really do make dreams come true!

Daniel just finished watching an unedited version of Star Wars: The Force Awakens!!! We would like to thank the awesomely talented JJ Abrams for calling us yesterday to tell us Daniel was getting his wish granted! We also would like to thank Lynne, Ben and Anahuac for coming to our home and screening the movie for Daniel. Lastly I want to thank ALL the amazing people who helped make this happen, thank you beyond words!!! May the force be with you all smile emoticon ‪#‎forcefordaniel‬ !!!!"

Mark Hamill, who of course plays Luke Skywalker, has been a huge proponent for the early screening for Daniel and he shared his excitement over the good news as well.

Lucasfilm and visionary director J.J. Abrams join forces to take you back again to a galaxy far, far away as Star Wars returns to the big screen with Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The film stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong'o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Max Von Sydow. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk are producing with Tommy Harper and Jason McGatlin serving as executive producers. The screenplay is by Lawrence Kasdan & J.J. Abrams and Michael Arndt.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens in U.S. theaters on December 18.
