When legendary screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan finishes writing the script for Phil Lord and Chris Miller's upcoming Han Solo "Star Wars Story" film, it will be his fourth and final Star Wars film.
"I have now made four Star Wars movies. That's more than enough," Kasdan told Bild (via The Hollywood Reporter). He told the German tabloid that he was apprehensive about writing the Han Solo film but his family's enthusiasm for the project convinced him to take it on. There is an extra incentive: he's co-writing the script with his son Jon Kasdan.
The 66-year-old screenwriter contributed his writing talents to The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi and the soon-to-be-released The Force Awakens. His non-Star Wars screenplays include Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Big Chill and The Accidental Tourist.
The Han Solo film is scheduled to be released in theaters on May 25, 2018.
