Lea Seydoux Provides Gambit Speculation Update

Léa Seydoux, fresh off a role in last weekend's hit James Bond installment SPECTRE, is not interested in talking to reporters about her rumored part in Gambit, as AlloCiné (via CBM) found out.

"No, I haven't signed for Gambit," Seydoux says in the video embedded below."I just can't make any official announcement, I don't have information," she added.

You can check it out below. CBM notes that at the time when Seydoux was rumored to be considering a part, director Rupert Everett was still attached. In the interim, he's moved on, and will reportedly be replaced by Doug Liman soon. Whether that means an actual change in the casting plans or just that nobody can talk until Liman, the cast and the studio are on the same page is unclear.

Seydoux, if she gets the job, will make Gambit her second comics-to-film adaptation after the award-winning Blue is the Warmest Colour.

Gambit is scheduled for released on October 7, 2016. It will star Channing Tatum and reportedly be directed by Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Go), with Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past, Fantastic Four) executive producing.
