It seems that the final chapter of The Dark Knight trilogy won't be so final. Frank Miller says he plans on writing another chapter of his Batman saga following Dark Knight III: The Master Race.

While Brian Azzarello is writing Dark Knight III, Miller indicates that the next installment will come strictly from his own pen.

"I thoroughly applaud what [Brian's] doing. But now that he's doing his, it's now a four-part series," Miller told Newsarama. "I'm doing the fourth."

Miller did say that he supports Azarello's story, that his follow-up will be aware of DKIII, and that he won't begin working on Dark Knight IV until he's read DKIII in full.
