Men In Black 4 Will Feature Female Agent as a Lead

The next Men in Black film will include a female agent in a "prominent" way, producer Laurie MacDonald told BBC's Newsbeat.

"There will be a prominent woman in black in the fourth," she said, not giving any other big information about the movie. "We are quite early on it," she explained.

The third film, the final of "a bit of a trilogy," came out in 2012, ten years after the previous movie in the franchise. It's unclear whether the fourth will be a reboot or continue the story, as MacDonald and her team are unsure whether Will Smith will return in any way.

There have also been rumors that the franchise would cross over with the 21 Jump Street franchise in some way, which the directors of that franchise have admitted was at least talked about.

They kind of screwed the pooch when MIB2 didn't have J with his new female partner. Tommy Lee Jones is too old for this shit. J needs some fresh blood.

I've never been a fan but I saw enough of the animated series to know they already did that. At least it's not an all female reboot like the fake "Ghostbusters" movie. This is what "Ghostbusters" should've done. The original surviving members then add say Egon's daughter or someone close to him to fill his role.

This series is a mess. They don't know what they're doing. MIB2 contradicted the ending of the first. K treats an like a rookie theoughout, and J acts like one after several years. There is an entire agency here and all we see is that only two agents can ever be involved in anything major going down. What do all the others do? I think each film should have focussed in a different team.
