During the global press day for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the Harrison Ford happiness revival tour continued. The actor's excitement over the return to the role of Han Solo was easy to see, hear, and even feel.

"It feels familiar," stepping back on set, Ford said. "It feels good. It's good to be home, as Han says in the teaser trailer. I'm aware of the value that's placed on these films by the audience. I'm gratified that they've been passed on, that the first three have been passed through generations. There's still an audience for the original films. There's still some value to them in interpreting life somehow. It's a bit of a mystery, but it's very gratifying to be part of that."

He also repeated what he's said before, that the chance to work with JJ Abrams was part of what made him excited to be back in Solo's shoes.

"There's an interesting story to tell through the character. It's always nice to anticipate working on something you know people have an appetite for. This is not a crap shoot, this is big casino," he said with a soft laugh. "It's fun to play with these toys again, it's been a great experience."

Star Wars: The Force Awakens officially releases in the US on December 18, 2015.
