Martin E. Brooks, an actor who appeared on The Six Million Dollar Man, has passed away at age 90, Variety reports.

Brooks played Dr. Rudy Wells on The Six Million Dollar Man and its spinoff, The Bionic Woman in addition to being an accomplished theatre actor.

Other notable TV appearances for Brooks include Knots Landing, Dallas, General Hospital and Cagney & Lacey. He memorably played Edgar Randolph, the main suspect in the "Who Killed J.R.?" storyline on Dallas, which set the standard for the way television now deals with finales and premieres.

Brooks also wrote two novels and at least one play that was optioned for Broadway. He is survived by his longtime partner, Edie Landau, and several nephews and grand-nephews.
