Happy birthday, Jared Leto! The actor is celebrating his 44th birthday today.

Leto is best known to our ComicBook.com community for a role we haven't even been able to watch in its entirety yet: The Joker in 2016's Suicide Squad. Leto is following in the footsteps of Cesar Romero, Jack Nicholson, and Heath Ledger.

While Leto has been known for his long hair, he had to trim the locks this year for the DC Comics role.

In the past, Leto has appeared in a number of popular movies, including The Thin Red Line, Fight Club, American Psycho, Lord of War, and Dallas Buyers Club. Leto won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role in Dallas Buyers Club.
