According to Variety, 20th Century Fox has hired screenwriters Brandon and Phillip Murphy (Transference) to pen a screenplay for the film adaptation of Mark Millar and Leinil Yu's Superior.

Superior, a seven-issue series that was published between 2010 and 2012, about Simon Pooni, a young, athletic boy diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. The wheelchair-bound boy was forced to deal with his dramatically new life until an alien monkey grants him a wish, allowing him to become a superhero. Things aren't as they seem as the alien monkey turns out to be a demon and it gives Simon the option to either sell his soul to remain a superhero or return to his former body.

The Superior movie will be produced by Tarquin Pack and Matthew Vaugh, who previously produced, directed and wrote movies based on Millar's Kick-Ass and Kingsman: The Secret Service.

No director is attached to Superior as of yet.
