At CES 2016, Funimation Entertainment announced a partnership with Sony DADC New Media Solutions to use the Ven.ue platform to launch a new ad-free streaming anime service FunimationNow.
FunimationNow subscribers will be able to watch ad-free, HD streaming of Funimation’s library of over 400 simulcast and catalog titles, both subbed and dubbed, including Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Fairy Tail, One Piece, Tokyo Ghoul, Space Dandy and more.
The service will launch in early February, with completely redesigned iOS, Android, and Kindle apps, as well as new Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV apps. The apps will have Airplay and Cast compatibility. Also launching in February is a new Windows 10 Universal app.
In May, the Funimation website will get a redesign, and as will Funimation’s gaming console apps.

FunimationNow is being demoed for the first time at 2016 International CES in Las Vegas, Nevada.
