Well that sucks, no point having the character then.

  1. That's cool. It's not like the mask is an organic part of her character or anything. I mean, it's not like it's her name or something.

  2. I usually don't get annoyed at changing characters, but at this point, why not just use an original name? Like, I was weary already at the fact she'd be completely in-name-only thanks to how she's being disconnected from Iron Man, but seriously? No mask? Why even use Madame Masque if you're not even going to use her. The worst part is they picked her because they wanted to showcase more female villains. You know what they should've done? Just created a new villain or gotten one who actually fit the character they had in mind, then let Madame Masque show up in the modern day as her actual self. You'd get two female villains rather than waste one. This is just as stupid as the Ward is Taskmaster thing, except unlike that BS, this is actually happening.

Dude, her name in the comics is actually Whitney Frost, and that's her name in the show. You know they're not all called their supervillan names in real life right? And their keeping plenty of her character traits, and Howard Stark has mostly been confirmed to guest, so connect the dots...

If you actually know what the character is about, then it's a perfectly reasonable change. In fact it's really for the better, since it would be kind of camp or weird for the setting. Even last season with Fennoffs hypnosis, it did work, but it was a little cheese. Just a simple little Easter egg like they mentioned will do fine.
