Arrow EP Marc Guggenheim Addresses Felicity Rumors

olicity

From the moment Felicity Smoak was teased as potentially dead at the end of the Arrow Season Four midseason finale, fans have calmed themselves by pointing out that they've seen her on the set of the hit series, indicating that she can't actually be dead.

We agree she's not dead, but for other reasons.

In any event, it seems like this spoiler/speculation/rumor has finally frustrated producers, who are trying to maintain the suspense about what happened to Felicity when her car was shot up back in December. Showrunner Marc Guggenheim took to Twitter this morning to say this:

Some fans are taking it to mean that Felicity herself has a hallucination, but most are taking it to mean that somebody (likely Oliver, since he's got a history of such things) hallucinates about Felicity.

But why would that happen if she were hale hearty and right in front of  him? That's the next mystery, right?

Arrow returns for the second half of its fourth season -- which will include the resolution of the long-standing mystery of Felicity's parentage -- on January 20 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

Kill her off and keep her off or throw her in The Flash, bored of her and Ollie thing going on since day one. I don't mind her character, shes just more suited on The Flash than Arrow.

I'm still thinking they're going to fake us out and make us think she's dead (to keep her safe) then, near the end of the season, we're going to find out she's not. Meanwhile, only a small number of characters will know she's really alive all along.

  1. They are crippling her up to create Oracle. But the paralysis won't last. Remember, magic is a big thing this season.

  2. She probably is going to be in a medically induced coma for an episode or two and probably storyline wise they need another story other than the rage and Damien's frustration so why not a what if I never met Oliver going through her mind.

  3. She probably going to end up like Barbara Gordon paralyzed. Honestly I would love to see a character in a wheelchair. It would be cool to see since I'm in a wheelchair and plus with TNT's Titans show getting cancelled Arrow can do this.
