That's kind of a bummer but hopefully it implies we have an Oracle coming in the DCEU.

Wendy Harris (Proxy) from the comics is also a paralyzed hacker from the comics. In fact her father in the comics is an upcoming Arrow villain. Her backstory fits Felicity far too well to be a coincidence, I just think they're going to give Felicity a different codename than Proxy.

DC only asks the tv shows not to do something when it relates to the movies so just like the Suicide Squad not appearing on the show anymore more then likely the reason Felicity won't become Oracle is because Oracle is in the DC Extended Universe which only confirms Jena Malone as Barbara Gordon....just saying.

Yup, and this is one of my main complaints about DC. They interfere way too much with the Arrow-verse shows. DC makes it very, very, very clear that the shows are separate from the movies, so it makes no sense that they would then go and tell the shows who not to include because they will appear in the movies. Its backwards thinking and if anything it is disappointing to the fans and the producers of the shows, and it holds back the shows from reaching their full potential. Having the show kill off Deadshot (a true crime), removing Katana, not being able to put in Hal Jordan or Kord as Blue Beetle, etc. These are all the actions of a company that interferes too much with shows that want to do these characters justice.
